  • Heavy and/or painful periods can stop women and girls from living life to the full.

  • Cyclical symptoms including pain, bloating and mood changes are often brushed aside as ‘one of those things’ but this doesn’t have to be the case.

    If you are experiencing symptoms that change with you cycle, find yourself changing your plans or not going to events because you might be pre-menstrual get in touch, there are lots of options available both hormonal and non-hormonal.

  • If you have tried lots of contraceptives and can’t quite find the one to suit you, get in touch.

    From mood changes to weight gain, acne to irregular bleeding, many contraceptives can cause significant side effects.

    There are lots more options than might previously have been discussed with you and some are better for those who have had side effects in the past.

  • A stage of life that can start earlier than we might think (or be ready for!) Sometimes women can notice changes in their cycle, their mood, their body but don’t know where to turn to feel heard.

    With specific training in the menopause Dr Ruth can talk you through the different options available. The first HRT option doesn’t suit everyone but there are lots of adjustments that can be made to find the right fit for you.

  • Be this through menopausal changes to your libido, the affect of medication, or other conditions such as vaginismus we can explore how best to help you and have links with specialists who can discuss further.

  • The standard post birth checks can be quick and often feel rushed especially if you are having your baby check at the same time. You might find there are things you wanted to ask but didn’t manage or forgot at the time. We are happy to go through things at your pace and make your recovery journey the centre of our care. We also have close links with women’s health physios.
