About Ona Wellbeing Collective
Ona Wellbeing Collective was founded to support women’s health through knowledge, access, and compassionate, evidence-based care — meeting women where they are, at every stage of life.
We believe that women are best supported when they understand their bodies, feel confident in their choices, and can access care and education that fits their life, environment, and values. Our work brings together clinical expertise, education, and community-focused approaches to women’s wellbeing — with warmth, clarity, and respect at its core.
The idea behind the name
Ona means “she” in Polish. The name was chosen to reflect a simple idea at the heart of the project: that women’s health should centre on the individual Oman - her body, her experiences, and the choices that are ight for her. In some languages, “on a” also carries connotations of goodness and wellbeing, which felt fitting for a space focussed on knowledge, support and community around women’s health.
About the founder
Ona Wellbeing Collective was founded by Dr Ruth Guest, a women’s health GP specialist.
Ruth has extensive experience supporting women across the lifespan — from menstrual health and contraception, through pregnancy and postnatal wellbeing, to perimenopause and menopause. Alongside her clinical work, she delivers education and workshops for schools, parents, workplaces and community organisations, with a strong focus on accessible, stigma-busting conversations about women’s bodies and health.
Her approach is grounded in evidence-based medicine, but shaped by the belief that healthcare works best when it is human, inclusive, and empowering.
Looking ahead
Ona Wellbeing Collective already works in a collaborative way, drawing on multidisciplinary insight in the development and delivery of education and workshops. As the Collective grows, this collaborative approach will continue to expand.
